It Came from the Lightbox: Mirkwood Elves
I kinda don’t know why I’m bothering with this: of the six elf sculpts I’ve only painted two. Plus the heroes; I need to repair Tauriel’s broken arrow.
So, not much to see here. Yet.
It Came from the Lightbox: Grashrak’s Despoilers
Underworlds warbands are the perfect project size. Plus being able to paint them for Bladeborn means I don’t have to worry about any card nonsense.

First off, I finished Bill the Pony to fill out the Fellowship
Also, I’ve slowly been populating image galleries over on the right with photos, and noticed I’d missed the two most recent Bushido Minimoto models and (likely because they were painted when I was still doing Facebook) most of my Warcry models. So: posting them now.
It Came from the Lightbox: Chaos Dwarfs
Spectacular Dawi-Zharr sculpts are by Fabelzel and can be found on Thingiverse.

It Came from the Lightbox: MOTU Battlegrounds Terrain
These took way longer than I would have liked. Work and illness just chewed up free time and so these sat as an open thread longer than I’d have liked.
Something I tried with them, that I think was effective, was to use purple wash on the green and green wash on the purple. I feel like that ratchet up the animated feel of the terrain.

It Came from the Lightbox: Masters of the Universe
I’m basing my approaches off of Garfy‘s approaches, which has actually been a great experience. I haven’t followed him step-for-step, but I stuck closely enough that I used a lot of colors I don’t normally reach for, and used his mid->Contrast->layers->highlight approach which was new for me. I’m extremely pleased with the results and am making tracks on the Evil Warriors.
